Colorful bi-color corundum var. ruby crystal on a pegmatite base of black muscovite from Zazafotsy Quarry, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar. The corundum crystal of 24mm has a rich color variations from purple to violet. It is sharp, doubly terminated, hexagonal crystal with flat terminations. The luster is good and the crystal is slightly translucent. It is strongly fluorescent in a striking magenta color. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
