A superb crystal of rare colorless garnet var. grossular from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The colorless garnets are among the rarest in the world. The grossular crystal of 9mm is super gem, completely transparent and clear like water. It has a rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization and glassy luster. It is fluorescent in a bright pink. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some minor nicks and base contact. On acrylic base.
