A killer skeletal galena specimen from this closed mine - 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria – the only one that makes these structures. The skeletal structure is caused by very fast growth of the mineral where the crystal faces do not have the time to be completed because the edges grow faster than the center. It displays very attractive stepped growth, forming gorgeous terraced structures on both faces. It is matt lustrous and light reflective. It is well formed and has a sharp geometry. On the galena are seen small quartz crystals proving the natural origin of the skeletal structures. It shows attractively all over 360 degree. In very good condition – some natural imperfection and small contacts. On acrylic base.
