A rare specimen of spinel crystals with diopside from MacDonald Island, Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada. It displays an attractive cluster of spinel crystals up to 8mm intergrowing with prismatic diopsides. The spinels are well formed and sharp with complex shape and black. They have a good luster. Grey, sharp diopsides with good luster are seen all over. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
