A mesmerizing smithsonite epimorph after calcite from Level 8 in the famous San Antonio Mine, East Camp, Santa Eulalia District, Mexico. Epimorph is a type of pseudomorph where a mineral replaces another mineral leaving a crust at the surface. The smithsonite took the perfect shape of scalenohedral calcite which was replaced. The color is a pleasing khaki with fresh, sparkling, velvet appearance. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. In very good condition - some base part contacts. On acrylic base.

Superb!
