A super crystal of rare shigaite from this famous locality - NChwaning I Mine, South Africa. Shigaite is a very rare aluminum manganese sulfate and the finest specimens for the species come from this locality. It displays waxy lustrous and fresh crystal. It has a rich and saturated honey-red color. It is a tabular and hexagonal crystal with a sharp shape. It shows on both sides. For references see the 2017 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 48, # 1. In excellent condition – some small imperfections. On acrylic base.
