Gorgeous and rare specimen of pink rhodochrosite with black ilvaite crystals from level 5 in Remedios Mine, Guerrero, Mexico. The specimen comes from the collection of Jean Des Rivieres, Quebec, Canada with a label. These combo pieces are a contemporary Mexican classic. It displays tender pink colored rosettes of rhodochrosite, forming attractive clusters. The rhodochrosite is sparkling and fresh. Black and sharp small ilvaite crystals form the base. They are highly lustrous. The contrast is very strong. In very good condition - some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.

Choice and highly desirable!
