Beautiful specimen of Hauyne var. Lazurite from Sar-e Sang, Afghanistan. Lazurite is no longer a species and is now classified as a variety of Hauyne. It displays very sharp, well-formed and complete all over rhombic dodecahedron of 22mm. It has deep and saturated royal blue color. Often the Lazurite crystals are very difficult to find and not well formed, while this one is perfect. Two unidentified minerals are seen too. It displays aesthetically all over 360 degree and the white base gives a strong contrast. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 45, # 3, May-June 2014. In very good condition – some natural imperfections. On acrylic base.

Marvelous!
