Choice specimen of Garnet var. Uvarovite from the type locality of Saranovskii Mine, Russia. It displays Uvarovite crystals up to 4mm attractively surrounded with white Calcite. The Uvarovite has deep intense grass-green color and sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit. The crystals are very lustrous and sparkling, and contrast strongly around the white base. Some contacts.
