A splendid specimen of gem vesuvianite crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. They have a rich purple color. The crystals have a strong glassy luster and are well shaped. Some are doubly terminated. The vesuvianite is very fresh and sparkling. Some tabular, colorless diopside crystals are seen on the back side. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
Gorgeous!
