Beautiful specimen of Polylithionite with Aegirine and Albite from this great locality - Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. It displays aesthetically intergrowing shiny Polylithionite rosettes. They have sharp hexagonal shape with pearly luster. The rosettes are parallel plates. They are strongly light reflective. Black Aegirine crystals and white Albite form the core. It shows attractively all over 360 degree. For references see the 1990 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 21, # 4. In very good condition – some small Aegirine damages. On acrylic base.
Marvelous!
