Outstanding crystal of super gem Grossular Garnet var. Tsavorite from the famous Merelani Hills, Tanzania.  The Tsavorite is a very rare, green, chromium or vanadium variety of Grossular. It is 16mm, 20carats (4 grams), very vitreous, clear, transparent and gem with strong luster.  It has rich green color and sharp crystal habit. Some Graphite is seen at the base. In very good condition – some micro nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
