Exceptional specimen of gemmy Powellite crystals beautifully nestled on impressive Scolecite sprays from Yeola, Nashik District, Maharashtra, India. The Powellite is the rarest and most desirable mineral from the Deccan Traps of India. It displays two superb colorless Powellite crystals to 27mm. They have razor sharp octahedral shape. The crystals have glassy luster and pretty striations. The Powellite is translucent to transparent and gemmy. The main crystal is doubly terminated. Beautiful white Scolecite sprays grow vertically in very three dimensional and sculptural manner over cream Stilbite crystals. The specimen is complete all over. In very good condition – some small damages on the Scolecite and the Stilbite.
